The 3 Of Us

The 3 of Us shows the shifts in balance and perfection that occur when 3 is more than just a number.

Can things be even when you have an odd number of people?

 

I actually based the work on my relationship between myself and my sisters. I originally made the work on 3 incredible dancers - Tammy Arjona, Lindsey Butcher, Deborah Jones- made possible with a choreographic award from the Jerwood Charitable Foundation. The piece progressed into a trio for myself, Lindsey Butcher & Lee Clayden, which segued into a piece for 3 men: Lee Clayden, Scott Smith & Rowan Thorpe.

 

I watched it recently and I still love this work, even by today standards.
